DOZENS of jobseekers marched down to an army recruitment event in search of better employment opportunities.More than 30 companies, training centres and job-hunting experts were on hand to help at the Mercian Regiment's Army Reserve Centre, in Bucknall New Road, Hanley, as part of a careers fair.The event was the first of its kind to be hosted by the regiment – which is looking to recruit new reservist members – with soldiers even manning minibuses to ferry people from the job...

Many of the contributors to The Lyme Trust's book had to learn to cook from scratch while taking part in the fund-raising project.
